YMCA Here We Come!!!!

I used to love working out.   There was a time in my life I would get up at 6 am to do my Tae-Bo videos with my man Billy Blanks...Yep, I was one of "them" everyday worker outers. Hyped up on an endorphin high, going to bed at 10 pm, waking up early so I could get my "high." It was my little addiction.  Hey, better than cigarettes, right?

Then, bam! I had a baby and everything changed. Slowly but surely I stopped working out completely.  Aaaaannnnd, I have to admit......it's been pretty AWESOME! I never thought I would enjoy NOT working out so much. Thanks Sebastian. Thank you for these past 17 months of excuse after excuse not to hit the gym. It's been a much needed break from the insanity of scheduling my whole day around a workout.

HOWEVER, in the past few weeks, I have had this little annoying voice in my  head that just won't stop telling me to do something good for myself. Yes, it's difficult to get motivated. But I'm ready......ready for something new and different. Ready to get my Billy on!

So, we signed up. At the YMCA. 2 miles from home. Awesome 6 minute drive.

If you would have asked me 5 years ago whether I would be a member of this place I would have laughed and not thought twice of it. Well, five years later, here I am!  I didn't even request a tour because I went on one when Sebastian was still in my  womb. Why did it take me 17 months to come back? Well, no one ever tells you the mama instinct you immediately get once that baby pops out of you. There was no way I was going to let some stranger touch my bebe!

Well, not until now, at least. Mama must work out!  I did visit the child care room and to my surprise they were willing to watch Sebastian while I filled out the paperwork. Uh oh. First time with an absolute stranger. How was Seb going to fair? Was he going to make it? Was I going to make it? Would he cry profusely until I came back? Would I cry? Oh geez! Was I ready for this? And right before I was able to answer those questions, Enga from Hungary (yes, that's her real name) scooped Seb up and took him from me. I was able to say Bye, of course. Seb looked very confused and did not say bye back. He didn't cry so I took that as my chance to flee......immediately.  I didn't want it to be a difficult departure. I was gone for approximately 30 minutes. Sheesh! The paperwork this place makes you fill out!  I practically ran back to the child care room and noticed Seb right away playing with a highchair. The two ladies working behind the counter couldn't have made me feel any better. They kept saying he did awesome and didn't even cry once. He went back and played with the kids almost immediately. Phew! Sigh of relief. When he saw me he looked happy...walked right over to me..smiled..no crying!!   I grabbed my baby, held him close and just as soon as I did, I realized a nasty smell. I know this smell. I don't like this smell. A poopy diaper. Aw! Man! Really?!  Get used to it YMCA ladies! This baby poops like 4 times a day!

(I didn't have a camera with me, so no photo op but I will get one at our first "official" drop off!)  God, I'm excited!
